Old phones, batteries and e-waste

Safe to keep at home, safe to hand over.

Safety4 steps

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 4

Keep them in one dry box

Away from the stove, water and sunlight, and out of children's reach.

  2. Step 2 of 4

    Tape the battery ends

Put tape over the metal ends so they can't spark.

  3. Step 3 of 4

    Don't press a swollen battery

A puffed-up battery can catch fire. Keep it on its own in a metal tin and tell the kabadiwala.

  4. Step 4 of 4

    Hand gadgets over whole

Don't break phones or take out parts. Say it's e-waste when you book.
